ESG, Climate Risk & GHG Accounting

The aim of this course is to equip participants with skills to identify, analyse, and manage ESG and climate risks, and to understand how GHG emission accounting supports risk disclosure, mitigation, and sustainability strategy.

Physical, transition, and liability risks; climate
scenario analysis (ISO 14091 guidance)
3) Materiality and Risk Prioritisation
Double materiality concept;
ESG risk matrix exercise
4) Introduction to GHG Accounting
Overview of climate change and GHG Protocol;
defining boundaries and emission scopes
5) Quantifying and Managing Emissions
Data collection, emission factors, and calculating
Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
6) Integrating GHG and Climate Risks
Using carbon data to assess transition exposure;
carbon pricing and Singapore carbon tax;
Target setting and monitoring
7) Practical Exercise
Develop a sample GHG inventory and ESG &
climate risk register
