2-days ISO 14064-1: ESG, Climate Risk & GHG Accounting

The aim of this course is to equip participants with skills to identify, analyse, and manage ESG and climate risks, and to understand how GHG emission accounting supports risk disclosure, mitigation, and sustainability strategy.

Participants who successfully complete the programme will be eligible for 14 SDU points, subject to approval and prevailing terms and conditions.

Course structure: 

1) ESG and Climate Risk Fundamentals

• ESG and climate risk concepts; overview of TCFD
  and ISSB S2; Integrating ESG into risk
  management frameworks

2) Climate Risk

• Physical, transition, and liability risks; climate
  scenario analysis (ISO 14091 guidance)

3) Materiality and Risk Prioritisation

• Double materiality concept;
  ESG risk matrix exercise

4) Introduction to GHG Accounting

• Overview of climate change and GHG Protocol;
  defining boundaries and emission scopes

5) Quantifying and Managing Emissions

• Data collection, emission factors, and calculating
  Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
   

6) Integrating GHG and Climate Risks

• Using carbon data to assess transition exposure;
  carbon pricing and Singapore carbon tax;
  Target setting and monitoring

7) Practical Exercise

• Develop a sample GHG inventory and ESG &
  climate risk register

SDU Points:

✽ Attendees must attain at least 75% of the attendance to be eligible for SDU points
✽ Points will not be earned for participation in a re-run of the same course
